Ria has performed for many different types of community events involving ceremony including memorial services, celebrations and private events. Depending on the nature of the event, she  can perform solo, or with a variety of ensembles including Javanese and Balinese traditional gamelan. Many of her collaborative projects explore meaningful and authentic ways to share ritual and ceremony  in a contemporary context. ​
