I offer a unique approach for beginners to experienced singers who are seeking to explore the full expressive potential of their voice.
Each person I work with brings their own blend of interests, learning style and resources, and a precious and unique voice. I am particularly passionate about teaching in a way that is practical, empowering and inspiring.
I draw on my intensive training as a teacher of the Alexander Technique - used world wide as an approach to refining our kinaesthetic intelligence as we move/sound/ think.

Every individual has their own particular way of learning and a unique voice. I enjoy shaping lessons and classes to meet each person. Over the years, I have pursued an intensive study of the interconnection of movement/imagination/ intention through my study of voice, co-ordination and rhythm. As a singer I was drawn to find practical and accessible ways to meet the emotional and physical challenge of a performance situation.
Ria's skills as a group facilitator have been deeply enriched by her long term training in the Taketina rhythm process - a cutting edge method of rhythm education. She is qualified to facilitate workshops after completing her basic training with Reinhardt Flatischler - master teacher and founder of the work.
